ProWrap consists of quick reviews of the television shows we don’t cover with full reviews or podcast episodes during the week.

Just one show this week! Last week was kind of crazy.

Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. – S4E13 – BOOM | Tuesdays at 10pm | ABC

Under orders from Anton Ivanov (Zach McGowan), Shockley (John Pyper-Ferguson) releases terrigen mist in Nadeer’s (Parminder Nagra) office. If she doesn’t turn, she’s to be brought in. She doesn’t turn, Shockley does and his Inhuman ability is to explode, which he does, killing Nadeer.

Didn’t see that coming. Neither did Nadeer.

Shockley keeps his Inhuman status from Ivanov and is later captured by S.H.I.E.L.D. He refuses to speak to anyone but Director Mace, but before he can detonate himself, FitzSimmons figure out what he is. A short tussle later and Shockley is pushed out of the quinjet, left to explode over parts unknown.

Meanwhile, Coulson and Mac track down Radcliffe’s ex and inspiration for Aida, Agnes Kitsworth (also played by Mallory Jansen). At first she refuses to help them find Radcliffe; she’s dying from a brain tumor and would like to spend her final days in peace, but Coulson lays it on thick about saving May and she relents. However, when Agnes meets with Radcliffe, he convinces her she can live within the framework and eternal life is too good to pass up. Plus, she don’t even know May. They get away and she voluntarily has her consciousness uploaded before dying.

After finally coming clean about his new ability, Shockley agrees to be the bait so that Ivanov can capture S.H.I.E.L.D. Knowing that the serum which gives him powers is also killing him, and questioning his place in the team, Mace sacrifices himself to the Russians so that the others may get away with a contained Shockley. I wonder if Aida is going to be a bigger problem now that she knows she isn’t unique. Are May and Agnes chilling in the same framework? Grade: B+
